About Us

Our team is passionate about mathematics, not just for its real-world applications but for its beauty, logic, and problem-solving challenges. We enjoy exploring different mathematical concepts, tackling complex problems, and thinking creatively to uncover new patterns and connections. Through this platform, we aim to make mathematics more accessible and inspire curiosity in others who share our passion.

Felipe Garcia
founder & director

I’m the founder and director of The Math Forge, a project I created to share my passion for mathematics and make high-quality math education more accessible. I'm also a proud member of the Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta) at my school, where I continue to grow as a student and leader. Through The Math Forge, I aim to build a space where anyone—regardless of background—can explore the beauty of math, challenge themselves, and discover just how powerful math can be.

Felipe Kaplan
co-founder & co-director

I’m Felipe Kaplan, co-founder and co-director of The Math Forge. I developed a passion for math at an early age, drawn to the logic, creativity, and problem-solving it offers. Over the years, that passion has only grown stronger, shaping both my academic interests and community work.
Today, I serve as the president of the Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta) at my school and lead several math-related initiatives, including Conte Comigo, a project I founded to help children from underserved communities strengthen their math skills and build confidence.

Beny Fuks

co-founder & co-director

Hi! My name is Beny Fuks, I’m 16 years old, and I’ve been a student at the American School of Rio de Janeiro since 2012. I’m Brazilian and have lived my entire life in Brazil, where I’ve grown up surrounded by a rich culture and a strong sense of community.
I currently serve as the Vice President of the Math Honor Society (Mu Alpha Theta) and am also the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Math Forge, an initiative dedicated to deepening students’ engagement with mathematics beyond the classroom.
Math has always been one of my greatest passions, and being part of these teams has only strengthened that. I enjoy problem-solving, discovering new concepts, and sharing this passion with others in my school community

Gregório Correa
 co-director & editor

I'm Gregório Correa, co-director and website editor of  The Math Forge. I am 16 years old, and I've been a student in the United States, New York, at Léman Manhattan Preparatory School for 7 years, but my parents are both from Brazil so I also know lots about the culture and speak Portuguese fluently.

Over the years of being in this school my love for math grew a bunch. From the first class back in 6th grade I knew this is what I wanted to be good at. Since then I have involved myself in many different math opportunities like, competitions, clubs, and much more. I am now also the editor and co-director of The Math Forge website, which helps students with a variety of types of problems, and pushes people to learn math outside of school.

For me math has been a very influential part of my life and having the opportunity to be part of this wonderful team of people has made an even greater impact. I love solving problems, discovering new methods, and especially helping others whenever I can.
